Evee Privacy Policy
The short version
Everything you put into Evee stays on your phone. We have no server, no accounts and no way to see your journal. Nothing leaves your phone unless you send it yourself.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no selling of data
- No account or sign-up
- Works fully offline
Who we are
Evee is made by On the House Software, a sole proprietorship based in Williamson County, Texas. Evee is free, and it will stay free.

What Evee stores
Evee stores only what you choose to put in it, and only on your phone.
| What | Where it comes from | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Journal entries (symptoms, notes, how you feel) | You type or speak them | No |
| Heart rate, heartbeat variation, skin temperature, steps, sleep | A fitness band you connect | No |
| Blood pressure readings, and whether the cuff is upper arm or wrist | A Bluetooth blood pressure cuff you connect | No |
| Your PIN, fingerprint setting and recovery key | You set them up | No, but strongly advised |
| App settings | Choices you make in Evee | Yes |
Evee works as a plain journal with no devices at all. You never need a band or a cuff to use it.
Where your data lives
Your data lives only on your phone, inside Evee's own storage.
- Evee has no server. There is nowhere for your data to be sent.
- Evee has no accounts. We do not know who you are.
- Evee runs fully offline once installed.
- Evee's data is left out of your phone's automatic cloud backups (Google Drive on Android, iCloud on iPhone), so a copy does not end up stored with those companies.
This covers only what stays inside Evee. Anything you save outside it, such as a screenshot, or a visit packet saved to your phone's Downloads or Files, is handled by your phone like any other file. It may be copied to Google Photos, Google Drive or iCloud if your phone backs those up. Check your phone's backup settings if you want those copies kept off the cloud.
Because nothing is backed up, losing or resetting your phone means losing your journal. Exporting a visit packet now and then gives you a copy you control.
What we never do
On the House Software receives none of your data, so there is nothing for us to use, share or sell.
- No advertising, and no ad networks inside Evee
- No analytics, usage tracking or crash reporting
- No selling, renting or trading of data, ever
- No location tracking
- No always-on listening. The microphone is on only while you are recording an entry.
If any of this ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change ships, and Evee will tell you inside the app.
Voice, devices and phone permissions
A few features rely on your phone or your own devices. Here is what each one touches.
Speaking an entry. Evee uses your phone's built-in speech-to-text: Google's on Android, Apple's on iPhone. Your words may be processed by that company under its own privacy policy, not ours. If you would rather keep your words away from them, type instead. Typing works for every part of Evee.
Bands and blood pressure cuffs. Evee reads from these over Bluetooth, directly from the device to your phone. Evee never imports a device's past readings on its own; you choose whether to. A device's own app (for example, OMRON connect) has its own privacy policy.
Permissions Evee may ask for:
| Permission | Why | If you say no |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone | To record a spoken entry | You can still type |
| Bluetooth (nearby devices) | To connect a band or cuff | Evee works as a journal without devices |
| Notifications | To alert you about readings | You won't get alerts |
| Fingerprint / biometrics | To unlock Evee | Use your PIN instead |
Evee does not ask for your location, contacts, photos or call history.
When your data leaves your phone
Your data leaves your phone only when you send it yourself. Evee never sends anything on its own.
- Visit packet. You can create a summary for your doctor and send it by email, a patient portal or any other app you pick. Once sent, it is handled by that app and the people you sent it to.
- Anchor export. You can save a file for a clinic that uses Anchor, Evee's clinic-side companion. The file holds your own words, the clinical translation, and daily summaries of device readings. It is not encrypted, so treat it like any other medical record and share it only with people you trust.
We do not share your data with anyone, because we never have it. We would only be able to respond to a legal request with the fact that we hold no user data.
Keeping Evee locked
Evee's lock protects your journal from anyone else who picks up your phone and from snooping apps.
- When you first open Evee, it helps you set a PIN, fingerprint unlock and a recovery key. You may skip this, but we strongly advise against it.
- Keep your recovery key somewhere only you can reach. Do not give a copy to another person. Medical information can be misused, and a shared key can put you and your home at risk.
- Keep your phone's own software up to date and install apps only from trusted stores. Malware on the phone itself is the biggest risk to any private data.
Your control over your data
You hold all of your data, so you control all of it.
- See it: everything Evee stores is visible inside the app.
- Take it with you: export a visit packet or Anchor file whenever you like.
- Delete it: uninstalling Evee permanently erases all of its data from your phone. Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover it for you.
- Change permissions: turn the microphone, Bluetooth or notifications on or off at any time in your phone's settings.
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on request. You are welcome to contact us with questions anytime.
Age
Evee is meant for adults 18 and older. A parent or caregiver may use Evee to keep a journal on behalf of a child in their care. In that case the adult is the user, and the journal stays on the adult's phone.
Not medical advice
Evee is a journal and a way to share what you experience with your care team. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at onthehousesoftware.com with a new effective date, and Evee will tell you inside the app before the change takes effect.
